Poem- Trip To Temple 777
A poem and painting inspired by an astral dream.

teal water, mouth, glittery commissure
Spirit out, hibiscus arterioles traverse the vitreous ether
Black figure, waiting. His red tongue lolls out.
Is it time to run? Before the ghosts of the past catch up to me.
Benevolence or violence of the world
doesn’t matter,
when you live more in your dreams.
Run. Run. Run.
Towards the light of a new sun.
Trip to temple 777
Wherever it is, hell or heaven
I am ready for light and movement
This painting and poem were inspired by a dream in which I visited a temple with a black figure who would loll his crimson tongue out if the seeker was filled with negativity. In my case, he did, and one was supposed to leave immediately because the ghostly figures that symbolise ancestral trauma or past triggers can catch hold of you.
There was a canal flowing right next to the temple that symbolised the flow of life. I astral travel many times, but this dream was significant to me because I had a gnawing, tearing, horrifying tendency to hold onto the past that it had paralyzed me.
Now, I am flowing, untethered. I have to admit that by doing this, I feel more lost than ever. There is no anchor. I left the temple. I am walking beside the canal. It isn’t easy, but being lost is better than never moving or living.

The words in your poem are top noch.
and the last line "being lost is better than never moving or living" is true
as i am lost now too but i am moving i hope it lead to somewhere where i belong
It gave me goose bumps. The way you use words to paint a picture is simply beautiful.
